Cheap Tickets Can Be Expensive

Here's a disturbing report from the UK:

It has come to light that at least 10 passengers have been duped out of thousands of dollars after being taken in by an internet flight company offering direct flights from Auckland to Bali for just $1,000. It now turns out that not only is the company part of an elaborate scam, but there are in fact no direct flights between Auckland and Bali. Is this just the tip of the iceberg?

There are real concerns that as this type of scam has appeared in New Zealand it is highly likely to have been repeated in other parts of the world, with many victims possibly a little embarrassed to admit that they have been taken in. As the internet continues to become more and more embroiled in almost every area of our lives, large numbers of people are being caught with their guards down when they see an attractive offer online.

While there is no doubt that the internet has allowed many companies to cut costs to the bone, there are limits as to how low they can reduce their prices. It is highly advisable to check the reputation of companies that you are dealing with to ensure that there is no adverse comment online, and no outstanding complaints. A simple search on Google will alert you to the fact that there may be problems with a particular company, or alternatively it could put your mind at rest. Even online the old saying, if it looks to good to be true then it probably is, still holds very true.

Here at www.flightcomparison.co.uk we only deal with the best air travel providers in the business – the companies that you know will be there tomorrow to see the deal through. The best flights and the best prices……..
